held by Diana Schaal

The history of Soldiner Kiez is going back to a spa king Frederick the Great founded in 1757. Behind the spa he established an agricultural colony.

By the settlement of various factories at the banks of the river Panke at the end of the 19th century, a worker’s district was developing.

In this lecture you will see historical photographs of Soldiner Kiez, and you will learn something about how the workers were living here.

The lecture is held in English, due to our guests, artist from Novi Sad, Serbia, exhibiting in galleries of the Kolonie Wedding

from 7th to 14th of November 2019.

Admission is free, donations are welcome.
